Hello! I'm Juliet and I am so happy to be back at True Healing Massage. I graduated from European Massage Therapy School in Las Vegas in 2008 and have been licensed in Nevada, Virginia and now in North Dakota.
I've been a certified personal trainer for 20 years and enjoy bringing that experience to my massage career to help my clients attain a healthy and pain-free lifestyle. I'm trained in Swedish, Deep Tissue, Sports, Reflexology, Prenatal and Hot Stone massage but my goal is to customize my massage to match what your body needs.

Our Logo: Our logo has been upgraded recently; it was outlined by the owner Amanda Wheeler and put into digital format and creation by a friend of hers in New York. Amanda designed the original logo as a sketch of abstract hands overlapping to make the Jesus fish. The new logo kept her vision of the hands coming together to create the Jesus fish in a more professional way. Amanda's christian faith is the drive behind her ministry and careers. She believes she has been given a gift and she has a desire to share that gift with others to help them grow and heal mind, body and soul.

My name is Alisen Santer. I am a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) in ND and have been Nationally Certified since 2008. I am insured by AMTA and have been practicing for 9 years. I grew up in Barnesville, MN and attended college at Concordia College, Moorhead. I worked at PRACS Institute, LTD for 14 years. In 2006, I attended Sister Rosalind's School of Massage. I lived in Fargo, ND with my husband, 3 boys and our black lab; recently my family and I relocated to Grand Forks, ND. I enjoy riding motorcycle, outdoor sports, going to the lake, movies, music, cooking and spending time with family and friends.

I'm originally from Puerto Rico. I studied at the University of Puerto Rico and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Agronomy. I served in the United States Air Force for six years. Afterwards, I studied massage therapy at Blue Cliff Community College in Gulfport, Mississippi. Recently relocated to the Grand Cities Area, I'm licensed by the North Dakota massage therapy board. My education from Blue Cliff includes neuromuscular therapy, sports massage, shiatsu and prenatal massage. I look forward to helping my clients relax their sore muscles and provide ways to maintain an active, healthy and pain-free lifestyle.

I have been studying yoga for 30 years and teaching for 22 years. I have completed extensive teacher trainings in Ashtanga Yoga (power yoga with Beryl Bender Birch) and Anusara Yoga (with John Friend and many of his senior teachers). I am a 200 hour RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher) and yogahour certified teacher.
Yoga is one of the most respected methods of self-care and personal development. It calms the nervous system and balances the physical, mental and spiritual aspects of ourselves. It is a highly effective set of techniques to enhance health and vitality, by promoting energy flow throughout the body. It includes physical poses, breathing exercises, meditation and deep relaxation. Cultivating the virtues of the heart on the mat helps us meet the challenges we encounter off the mat with an open heart.

I have been practicing massage therapy full-time since 2010 and am a Young Living Essential Oils Independent Distributor. I enjoy offering full body pain relief but I specialize mostly in headaches, neck & shoulder pain, lower back restrictions, sciatica, prenatal & infant massage. I have been practicing yoga since 2007, although I began dedicating myself to regular practice in 2011. I began training with yoga teacher Carol Murie in Grand Forks, ND. In 2015, I completed a rigorous 200 hour yogahour teacher training created by Darren Rhodes of Arizona. I trained under Sam Rice of Arizona and Patty Gorder of Grafton, ND through the Sam Rice School of Yoga. I began another 200 hour teacher training in 2017 with YogaFaith which is founded by Michelle Thielen of Washington. YogaFaith is a christ-centered yoga practice that can include prayer, Bible scripture, and christian music either with lyrics or not. I completed my 500 hour Master's Yoga Certification through YogaFaith in June 2018 to include more in depth study into specific ailments, sports, various yoga styles, PTSD, trauma, anxiety/depression, limitations and more. Beyond my trainings, I have taken additional workshops & seminars from Christina Sell, Dr. Neil Patel, Sam Rice, Carrie Hoff and Jaimie Perkunas.
How yoga has helped me & could possibly help you:
Yoga is a true passion of mine but I feel it is also necessary to my physical health, mental & emotional health and spiritual growth. When I dedicated myself to regularly practicing yoga, it strengthened me in ALL of those areas. Yoga is not a religious practice but it has allowed me more quiet time to meditate on scripture, to pray and more time with God, where my full life of children and business endeavors do not allow for.
I've had SO much less pain and more mobility since practicing yoga regularly! Doctors, physical therapists, massage therapists, OT, personal trainers...so many professionals now highly recommend yoga! Why? It has numerous benefits for every single person while having less "side effects" than other fitness or wellness routines (ex. running is hard on the joints, weight lifting is hard on the muscles and joints, etc.). Every body is different but I encourage you to try a private session and a few basic classes to truly experience the difference it could make.
